The Austrian follow-up activities were implemented within the framework of the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange "Empowerment through Creative Arts and Participation for European Teens (ECAPT)" (Grant Agreement No: 2025-1-AT01-KA152-YOU-000297832), coordinated by TREDU CLUB in Vienna, Austria. After the completion of the Youth Exchange, the Austrian team continued the dissemination and educational impact of the project through local presentations, awareness raising activities, reflection sessions, and online dissemination actions.
The follow-up activities focused on promoting the values of inclusion, intercultural dialogue, anti-discrimination, creativity, and youth participation while also encouraging more young people to participate in Erasmus+ opportunities. Participants shared their experiences, competences, and reflections with classmates, teachers, friends, and local communities through presentations, social media posts, and peer-to-peer discussions.
PRESENTATION AT VOCATIONAL TOURISM SCHOOL – VIENNA
As part of the dissemination activities of the ECAPT project, participant Julia organised and implemented a local presentation at her vocational tourism school in Vienna. The activity gathered classmates and teachers and introduced them to the objectives, structure, and educational methods of the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange.
During the presentation, Julia explained the main themes of the project, focusing especially on discrimination, inclusion, intercultural understanding, and youth empowerment. She presented the different non-formal educational methods used during the Youth Exchange, including theatre activities, visual storytelling, group reflection, teamwork exercises, and creative workshops. She also referred to activities connected to social awareness and human rights education, including discussions and visits that encouraged participants to reflect on equality, remembrance, and respect.
Special emphasis was placed on the personal learning outcomes gained through the project. Julia shared how the international environment helped participants improve their communication and teamwork skills, become more open-minded, and gain confidence in expressing opinions and interacting with people from different cultural backgrounds. She also introduced Erasmus+ opportunities more broadly, explaining the importance of youth mobility, non-formal learning, and European cooperation for young people's personal and professional development.
The activity concluded with discussions and questions from students and teachers, many of whom expressed interest in future Erasmus+ participation opportunities and showed increased awareness regarding discrimination and social inclusion.
ORGANISATIONAL IMPACT AND EVALUATION
For TREDU CLUB, the ECAPT Youth Exchange represented an important milestone, as it was the organisation's first Erasmus+ Youth Exchange implemented as applicant and hosting organisation. Through the preparation and implementation process, the organisation strengthened its internal management structures, coordination procedures, communication systems, and organisational capacity regarding European youth projects.
According to the organisational evaluation report, the implementation of the Youth Exchange created a strong and motivating learning environment where participants actively contributed to activities, collaborated with each other, and developed meaningful intercultural connections. The project successfully promoted active participation, solidarity, teamwork, and mutual understanding among young people from different countries.
The experience also strengthened the visibility and credibility of TREDU CLUB at local level in Vienna and increased the organisation's readiness to host and coordinate future Erasmus+ projects and international youth activities. The organisation highlighted that the project significantly contributed to the professionalisation of its internal project management and youth work practices.

"In February 2026, I participated in an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange in Vienna, where young people from different countries came together to learn, share experiences, and explore important social topics. Through creative workshops, group activities, and discussions, I became more aware of discrimination in Europe and beyond, while also learning a lot about different cultures. Meeting new people and working in an international team helped me become more open-minded and confident. The project was well organized and well coordinated, with a balanced program that included workshops, city activities, and intercultural evenings. The variety of activities made the experience engaging and meaningful. I especially enjoyed the creative tasks, such as poster-making, trust exercises, and listening activities, which helped me develop my communication, cooperation, and creativity skills. Overall, this youth exchange helped me grow both personally and socially, and it was a very valuable and inspiring experience."

"In February of 2026 I participated in the ECAPT project in Vienna funded by Erasmus+. This was my first Erasmus project so I had no idea what to expect but in the end I actually learned a lot. For one week, young people from Austria, Cyprus, Lithuania, Portugal and Poland came together in the capital of Austria to work on creative projects. But these creative projects weren't only for fun. Their purpose was to bring awarness to the discrimination happening all over the world and try to bring the youth of Europe closer together. In my opinion, this project was a total success. I personally learned a lot during that week. I became more aware of the discrimination happening in Europe and the rest of the world but also learned a lot about the different cultures, which I think brings us all closer together"

"In February 2026, I joined an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange in Vienna, where young people from different countries explored creativity through workshops in painting, theatre, and photography. I became more aware of the discrimination happening in Europe and beyond, but also learned a lot about different cultures, which I think brings us all closer together. The project was well organized, and the combination of workshops, city exploration, and intercultural evenings made the experience very engaging. The program was well-structured and varied, with enough breaks and I feel it helped me grow personally and socially."

"At the beginning of 2026, I spent a week in Austria as part of an international youth initiative that brought together young adults from across Europe. Instead of focusing only on discussions, we worked hands-on in artistic sessions, experimenting with visual arts, stage performance, and creative photography as ways to express ideas and emotions. During this time, I became more conscious of social inequalities and exclusion that affect people in many parts of the world. At the same time, living and collaborating with such a diverse group showed me how powerful cultural exchange can be in building understanding and solidarity. The schedule offered a dynamic mix of structured activities and informal moments, including discovering the city and sharing aspects of our home cultures. Overall, the experience challenged me, broadened my perspective, and helped me develop greater confidence in social settings."

"This was my second Erasmus+ Project and I was really looking forward to it, especially because it was being held in my home town of Vienna!
I really enjoyed how everything was organized and all of the activities, I even got to host my own activity thanks to the G.O.A.T Bobbie! Besides that I learned a lot about stereotypes, prejudice and discrimination which I'm going to consider a lot going forward with my life. I made even more great connections with participants from other countries and even from my own which is always a great bonus!"

"ECAPT in Vienna was a very meaningful experience for me, especially because it was Tredu Club's first project as applicant organisation and I learned a lot about coordination, organisation, and project management. What stayed with me most was seeing how quickly the participants connected, supported each other, and engaged deeply with the topic through creative and non-formal methods. The exchange showed me how powerful safe spaces and international learning can be for building confidence, awareness, and real youth networks. CONCLUSION
The Austrian follow-up activities successfully continued the impact of the ECAPT Youth Exchange at local level through awareness raising, dissemination, reflection, and educational activities. Through presentations, discussions, social media dissemination, and peer learning, participants shared the values and learning outcomes of the project with their local communities and educational environments.
The activities demonstrated the importance of non-formal education, intercultural dialogue, and creative arts as tools for inclusion, empowerment, and active participation among young people in Europe. The ECAPT project created meaningful learning experiences for participants while also strengthening the organisational capacity and international engagement of TREDU CLUB in Austria.
