The Cyprus team of the ECAPT Youth Exchange successfully implemented its first local follow-up dissemination activity at Periferiako Lykeio Apostolou Louka Kolossiou. The activity was organised exactly one month after the completion of the Youth Exchange in Vienna, Austria, offering participants the opportunity to share their experiences, knowledge, and outcomes with fellow students and members of the local school community.
The dissemination session was implemented between 10:40 and 11:20 and involved more than 30 students from the school. During the presentation, the participants introduced the objectives and activities of the ECAPT project, focusing on the importance of inclusion, active citizenship, creativity, intercultural dialogue, and the promotion of European values through non-formal education methodologies.
The Cyprus team consisted of the following participants:
- Kiriaki Ioannou
- Panagiotis Ioannou
- Amelia Southhal
- Andriana Ktisti
- Apostolia Analyti Vaskelyte
The group leader of the Cyprus team was Gita Vaskelyte, who supported the preparation, coordination, and implementation of the follow-up activity.
During the session, participants presented photographs, videos, workshops, and memorable moments from the Youth Exchange in Austria. Special emphasis was given to the creative methods used during the project, including theatre-based activities, dance energisers, team-building exercises, movie pantomime workshops, and intercultural cooperation activities that promoted empathy, tolerance, and participation.
The activity created a highly positive atmosphere among the audience, with students showing great interest in Erasmus+ opportunities and the experiences gained through international youth exchanges. Participants also discussed the friendships and intercultural connections they developed during the project and encouraged other young people to become active in future European programmes.
